Yinkfu Randy
Yinkfu Randy Nkuh (yinkfurandy8@gmail.com) is a third-year PhD student in Geography at the University of Buea, with a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Science from the same institution. He was part of an interdisciplinary study between the University of Maryland, USA, and the University of Buea, Cameroon (2025). He served as the research coordinator for an inter-institutional project on climate change, flood occurrence, public health, and food security in Africa involving the aforementioned universities. He has further enhanced his qualifications with certifications in research writing from the Californian Institute of Behavioral Neuroscience and Phycology and He earned a certificate in Data analysis from the Ferdsilinks Institute in Buea, Cameroon. He was the main speaker during the March 2025 Webinar on climate change risks in Food crop production in Cameroon, organized by the Society for Risks Analysis, a US based organization. He has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and contributed to interdisciplinary research on climate change. In addition to his more than 15 scientific publications, Nkuh has presented at National and international conferences and received the 2022 Global Green Grant Fund for climate change education in Buea. He has also worked with the International Rescue Committee and the Norwegian Refugee Council on environmental conservation, public health and sanitation projects. As a teaching assistant at the University of Buea and a lecturer at the National Advanced School of Public Works, he supervises research projects and teaches courses on environmental policy, urban sustainability, and climate change adaptation. He is currently researching the vulnerability of food crop production to climate variability in the Mbum plateau of Donga Mantung Division, Cameroon. He is a dedicated environmental conservationist with streamlined focuses on most SDGs.
