Akinmuyiwa Michael
Akinmuyiwa Michael is a seasoned Remote Sensing Specialist and GIS Analyst with a strong background in telecommunications and geospatial intelligence. He holds a B.Tech in Remote Sensing and Geoscience Information System and currently serves as the Head of Network Planning and Design Engineering in the telecommunications sector.
With deep expertise in fibre optics network design and implementation, remote sensing analysis, GIS modeling, and project management, Michael brings a unique blend of technical acumen and strategic insight to the Advisory Board of Green Africa AA. Notably, he led the planning and successful rollout of over 200km of metro fibre backbone and a 30,000 homes passed (HP) multi-operator FTTH network.
His research interests and practical applications span key sectors including agriculture, waste and water management, healthcare, climate studies, energy, urban planning, and business location intelligence—all aligning closely with Green Africa AA’s mission to integrate sustainability and innovation into development processes.
Akinmuyiwa is a strategic thinker and a passionate advocate for geospatial-driven development, committed to harnessing technology to drive smart infrastructure, connectivity, and sustainable impact across Africa.
